Bulawayo City Council exposes, members of the public including children, disabled, the sick and elderly and pets to health hazards as raw sewage flows freely.
A HEALTH hazard is looming in some of Bulawayo’s high density suburbs with Raw sewage is some Bulawayo areas freely flowing, across streets, into houses and along driveways in Bulawayo a city in which some sewage pie bursts have not been repaired for at least three years.
Bulawayo City Council (BCC) is in a crisis with the real and pending risk of
disease outbreak as the sewage is in places where the public particularly children are exposed to, through walking or playing . The most chilling worry for all is the threat of another cholera outbreak.
A warning to members of the public from the ‘DISCERNING’ eye newzimbabwevision is that , over the first six months of the year 2017, Bulawayo high density residents enjoyed cheap lovely packs of meat sold by a local man, who was only discovered after six months to have been digging dog carcasses dumped by the council at a local dump site and skinning them near Bulawayo railway sheds.
Now the Bulawayo City Council, the source of the dog carcasses is sitting idly and watching raw sewage flow into houses and down streets, exposing, members of the public including children, disabled, the sick and elderly and pets to raw sewage that flows along the streets in some high density areas.
That right there ladies and gentlemen should be your greatest concern, think twice before you buy that cooked food from the street or local ‘killers’ take away shops. My point is that, the fruit and vegetable you are buying in the street could actually have been washed or stored right by the raw sewage as Bulawayo residents are now acclimatised to raw sewage openly flowing in their communities. The ready made meals from vendors could have been cooked with water from the same sources. I’d think twice if I were you before purchasing food from these ticking ‘health bombs’,. Is the beef really beef? Enjoy your dirty fruit and vegetable from unknown sources, courtesy of Bulawayo city council (BCC).
